LITTLE GRAND PIANISTS
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Bell’Arte Europa International Cultural Society announces The First “Pequeños Grandes Pianistas” International Competition. The Competition is open to applicants from around the world and aims to to arouse young pianists interest and enthusiam for this instrument. All appplicants must present parental or authorised tutor consent.
DATES AND LOCATION:
4, 5 and 6 June, 2010
Ermita de San Roque
Sigüenza (Guadalajara) – Spain
CATEGORIES:
Participants will be classed in two categories:
Category A: Contestants under 14 years of age as of the date of the Competition
(4 June 2010)
Category B: Contestants under 10 years of age as of the date of the Competition
Category B participants may choose to compete in Group A if they wish to do so, but each participant may only compete in one group.
TIMELINE:
Friday, 14 May 2010:
Last day to register applications
Friday 4 June 2010
• 19:00h: Participants will be met at the Ermita de San Roque
Introduction to the Competition and draw for order of performance.
Opening Recital
Saturday, 5 June, 2010
• 10:00 – 14:30 Category B qualifying rounds
• 16:00 – 21:00 Category A qualifying rounds
Sunday, 6 June 2010
• 10:00 Category B Final
• 12:00 Category A Final
• 18:00 Price awards
Winner’s recital - Closing concert

Application Requirements:
• Photocopy of valid identity document: DNI, passport or birth certificate stating applicants name and nationality.
• Registration form duly completed and signed by parent or authorised tutor.
• Applicant's photograph with name and surname.
• An entry fee of €34.80 is payable to Bell’Arte Europa International Cultural Society before June 4 . Payment should be made by transfer -stating the applicant's name and the Group he or she has chosen to compete in- to the following bank account:

• Foreign residents may pay the entry fee on June 4th upon arrival.
REPERTOIRE:
Category A
First round
• One work by J. S. Bach
• free choice programme
The length of the repertoire should not exceed 15 minutes.
Final:
• A study
• free choice programme
The length of the repertoire should be longer than 12 minutes and not exceed 20 minutes.
Category B
First round:
• One work by J. S. Bach
• free choice programme
The length of the repertoire should not exceed 10 minutes.
Final:
• One study
• free choice programme
The length of the repertoire should not exceed 10 minutes.
All works must be played from memory.
PRIZES:
Three prizes will be awarded for each category:
• Category A
- First prize: 500 euros
- Second prize: 350 euros
- Third prize: 250 euros
• Category B
- First prize: 300 euros
- Second prize: 200 euros
- Third prize: 150 euros
• The jury reserves the right to declare any of the above prizes void.
• The jury may decide to award any of the prizes “ex aequo”. In this case the prize will be allocated equally.
• The prizes are stated before any aplicable taxes or witholdings.
JURY:
The jury will be made up of concert musicians and music educators of international renoun from various conservatories and music schools.
FURTHER REGULATIONS:
• A draw for order of performance will be carried out by the jury. Any participants not present when their names are called will lose the right to compete.
• Performances will be open to the Pubic.
The organisation reserves the right to allow audio or video recordings in the venue
• Jury decisions will be final, both at the qualifying rounds and the final.
• The jury reserves the right to request partial performances and to interrupt a performance that exceeds the allocated time.
• The acceptance of any prize implies a commitment to participate in the winner's recital.
• The organisation will provide information on available accommodation.
• All participants must be accompanied by an adult. The organisation will not be responsible for participants.
• Registering in this Competition implies acceptance of its terms and conditions.
INTERPRETATION:
Should any dispute arise regarding the interpretation of any part of the rules and regulations of the “Pequeños Grandes Pianistas” Competition, the prevailing interpretation will be that of the Spanish version.
The Competition Administration reserve the right to amend any of the rules or regulations contained herein if it is considered necessary to manage the Competition.
